Ski Glove Size Guide for Winter Gear

Find ski glove size using hand circumference and insulation fit tips with US, UK and EU glove conversion guidance for winter sports gear.

Ski gloves need a balance of warmth, grip and movement. A glove that is too small restricts circulation, while one that is too large makes poles harder to control. Measure hand circumference first, then compare sizes with the Glove Size Converter.

Measure Circumference and Length

Wrap a tape around the widest part of your hand below the knuckles. Some winter brands also use hand length, which is useful when fingers feel cramped or too long. Use both measurements if available, especially for technical gloves with pre-curved fingers.

Account for Insulation

Ski gloves feel bulkier than dress or work gloves because insulation adds volume. You should still be able to close your hand and grip a pole comfortably. If the insulation compresses too much when you make a fist, the glove may be too small and colder in real use.

Choose Mittens or Gloves by Use

Mittens are warmer but offer less dexterity. Gloves provide better control for buckles, zippers and poles. If you are between sizes, consider how much finger movement you need and whether you will wear liners inside the glove.
