Bra Size Conversion: US vs UK vs EU — Why the Same Size Feels Different

Compare US, UK and EU bra size conversion, why the same label can feel different, and how band, cup and sister sizing affect fit.

Bra conversion is more than swapping one label for another. A US 34DDD, UK 34E and EU 75F may be close in volume, but brand shape and sizing rules can make them feel different. Start with the Bra Size Converter, then check the brand chart.

Band Systems Differ by Region

US and UK bands use inches, while EU bands use centimeters. A US or UK 34 band is usually close to an EU 75. If you only convert the cup letter and ignore the band system, the final size may feel too loose or too tight.

Cup Letters Are Not Universal

Cup letters diverge across countries, especially above D. A UK E is not always the same as a US E. Use underbust and bust measurements together, and check the Bra Band Converter if you only need band mapping.

Shape Changes the Feeling of Fit

Balconette, plunge, full-cup and sports bras distribute cup volume differently. Two bras with the same converted size can fit differently if one has shallow cups and another has deeper projection. Use conversion first, then judge comfort and shape.
